Day two at the workplace..

After a nourishing breakfast we set off back to the Centre.
There was sand to be shovelled into woks....
.....which were then carried upstairs by the chain gang...
....to where Natacha and Hollis were busy sifting.
Meanwhile on the top floor one group were busy preserving the wood for the rafters..
....before the next group came along and painted them brown.
The chain gang then set about to clear a huge pile of rubble..
....which ended up back down in the yard.
All the while we are watched by bemused neighbours!
All in all a very busy day and we were all very glad to get back to base and some EQT.
Tomorrow we have a day off and we are looking forward to an excursion down to Gaul. And it's James' birthday so there may be cake!
Nite nite!

  1. Looks like hard work with all those stairs - you'll all be super fit at the end of it. Nero sends a big doggy lick to all that know him.

  2. It really does look backbreaking stuff but the break to work with local children looked really good - very rewarding. I am glad to see Georgia - these blogs are like Where's Wally when it comes to trying to see her!!

  3. Tom Peck, looks like you got the jammy job of painting rather than the back breaking job of rubble moving and sand sifting - or am I wrong. Dad says that the picture of your bowling action makes you look like Muralitharan (whatever that means) and the 10 year old looks like Slinger Malinga - no wonder they won. Seems to me that you all deserve a great day off tomorrow. Much love The Pecks and Tangle and Thistle.xxx

  6. Hi Alannah glad to see you are perfecting your painting skills just in time for us moving again. It will save me paying decorators to do you room. Hope the food is to your liking and there are not to many beasties. Ps we have left your boxes for you to unpack after we found a huge spider in one of them :-) lol. Mum got excited today as when we passed the building site they have the frames in for the French windows. The build is coming along pretty quick now. Miss you yes it's true I am missing you. All our love Mum and Dad of and the mad dog Badger xxxxxx

  11. Wau, it looks like they are working you all hard out there, before they let you out to play. Absolutely sterling work done by all of you, and I bet all us parents cant wait to get you home, so you can show off those new skills you are all picking up. :-)
It looks like all those work glowes and paint brushes are getting a good workout. And if it all seems hard, hot, dusty and humid, remember YOLO, and you will be done out there before you know it. It will be so amazing for the folks who get to use the building when you are done. Well done all of you. Tacha -I told Leedy about all your hard work, and she whinnied: Keep up the good work, and Phew that she is not out there with you to work that hard!!!
