We all bought some colourful Sri Lankan trouseres
The spices and chillies at the market
Georgia, Ellie and some fruit The bananas are very sweet and chewy
Hollis, Joe and Alannah asking their way through the busy market
Hollis looking very happy about the scarves
After an hour in Odels we finally persuaded Hollis to buy a shirt. At first he wanted to by a boring pale yellow one, but was forced into buying something fun
Here he is wearing it, and his new hat at lunch today
So far I am having a great time in Sri Lanka. Although I have only been here two days it feels like a week! Most of all I've enjoyed shopping (don't worry mum, I haven't spent all my money, though sorely tempted to), and playing football on the beach. I hope you're having a peaceful time at home mum and dad, even though the boys are still at home. This counts as my postcard if that's okay. From Flora
Dear Hollis
ReplyDeleteglad to hear you all had a great time there, and did some LOVELY SHOPPING

Dear Ellie
ReplyDeleteWe are thrilled you are having such fun. You don't look so impressed with the bananas.
Love Dad, Nicki, Joseph, Luke and Edie xx
hi Ellie hope that you are having a great time see you in america love Luke xxx
Dear Flora - Yes, yes, yes, that's all very well about the shopping, but what about the Architecture and the Elephants? Is that a new skirt you are wearing on the beach - very pretty. Keep hydrated and sieve the sand properly. Lots of love from a rather quiet household - why is that I wonder?! Lots and lots of love, Mum, Dad, Archie and Sholto xxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteHey, G, love that muscleman t shirt look! I guess you will just be looking at the fruit rather than eating it. All at no.14. Xxxxx
ReplyDeleteJoseph, did you remember the camera? Lots of photos please. It all looks fantastic and you must be having an amazing time. It's all very different from the market at St Antonin or Andover!! Shopping heaven. I'm so looking forward to seeing what you bring home!?! The blogs are fantastic. And the photos are really bringing it all to life for us at home. Loads of love plus one and no returns from Mummy (and Russell, Alan, Joan, Mary, T&D, and lots of other people - and the cats). xx xx xx
